How will I feel after a treatment?

This can vary but my advice (particularly after your first session) is that it is usual to feel tired. This is your body’s way of telling you to stop and rest and that is what I ask you to do. However, it is also usual to feel a great sense of wellbeing and positivity. Remember, we are all different and all respond in our own way.

What can Kinesiology help me with?

The list is endless! Kinesiology is a healing system that restores balance and harmony to the body. It is used to treat muscle, bone and joint problems, aches and pains and emotional and negative issues that are holding you back both physically and mentally.

Why is Kinesiology 'holistic'?

My aim is to look at four different elements. These are Emotional, Chemical, Structural and Electrical.

Emotional issues are looked at in a variety of ways. I often use Bach flower remedies coupled with a technique to release any unwanted emotional stress. This is safe and gentle and is only ever done at a level you are comfortable with. It is a known fact that emotional stress impacts on physical health and therefore this is an important part of what we will do.

Chemical stress can be attributed to various elements in your life. These can include dehydration, food sensitivities or poor nutrition and smoking or drinking. We can talk about these and look at alternative lifestyle choices and supplements if required.

Structural issues can lead to pain and discomfort and these are relieved by lymphatic massage and gentle contact with meridian and neuro-vascular points.

Electrical elements may be influenced by your daily contact with electrical equipment (very common in this computer and technology age). Again, these can be corrected easily with various techniques and addressing the need for good quality water to avoid dehydration.

Is it safe for everybody?

Yes. There are no major risks associated with this gentle and non-invasive therapy. It is generally safe for people of all ages and has no side effects.

What is surrogacy?

Surrogacy is a brilliant way of muscle testing and correcting on those who are unable to do so themselves; particularly effective on babies, elderly people, or those whose pain means they are unable to cope with being pushed or pulled. Babies are unable to resist against the pressure of muscle testing so in this case the parent would hold the baby on their knee and be tested themselves. Corrections can be made on the client or the surrogate. The added bonus of this is that the client and the surrogate both get a lovely energy balance!

Will I need to bring anything to the session?

Try to wear loose, comfortable clothes for the session that are easy to move in. It’s always a good idea to bring any supplements that you are taking and a list of prescription drugs if you take them.
